Captain Smith has over 40 years of experience in the Maritime Industry with 35 of those years in the Oil and Gas industry. Captain Smith previously worked for ExxonMobil (SeaRiver Maritime Inc.) for 30 years on various projects that included Transportation, Mooring Master position, and worked with ExxonMobil Global Operations.
Retiring in 2013, Northern Star Nautical Services was launched.
Captain Smith is a results-driven and highly skilled senior marine technical specialist, with a background in the global maritime industry. With a proven track record in managing and coordinating activities aboard seafaring vessels to the highest international standards for quality, health & safety in line with IMO codes and standards. Possesses excellent interpersonal skills; able to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources (including clients, regulatory authorities and crew members), culminating in successful vessel operations.
